About

Hi, I’m Phoenix.

How I Understand People

I believe every emotion, behavior, and protective response has a story worth understanding. The people I work with often arrive feeling overwhelmed, stuck in painful patterns, or disconnected from themselves after years of carrying experiences that continue to shape the present. Rather than fighting against those parts of yourself, we’ll work together to understand how they developed, the purpose they’ve served, and how they can begin supporting the life you want to create today.

How We’ll Work Together

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational, and attachment-based framework that prioritizes safety, collaboration, and curiosity. Healing doesn’t happen all at once, and it rarely follows a straight line. We’ll move at a pace that feels thoughtful and sustainable, building the foundation needed to explore difficult experiences without becoming overwhelmed.

Depending on your needs, our work may draw from EMDR to help process experiences that remain emotionally “stuck,” DBT-informed therapy to strengthen emotion regulation and coping skills, attachment-based and relational therapy to better understand patterns in relationships, and parts-oriented therapy to help different aspects of yourself feel heard, understood, and more integrated. These approaches aren’t separate boxes—they work together to support your unique story and goals.

The Environment I Strive to Create

As a queer-identifying person of color with lived experience, I understand that our identities and life experiences shape the ways we move through the world. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to educate, explain, or hide parts of yourself before you can begin healing.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, exploring your identity, working through overwhelming emotions, or simply hoping to understand yourself more deeply, you’ll be met with compassion, respect, and the belief that meaningful change is possible.
