Online Therapy Across New York State

Secure, HIPAA-conscious teletherapy lets us work together from wherever you feel most at ease, anywhere in New York State.

Therapy shouldn’t depend on your commute, your car, or living near the right office. Online therapy makes affirming, trauma-informed care accessible to anyone located anywhere in New York State, from Long Island to Buffalo and everywhere between.

For many people, doing this work from their own space (a familiar room, a favorite chair, a pet nearby) actually deepens the sense of safety that trauma work requires.

Who this helps

You might recognize yourself here.

  • Anyone physically located in New York State
  • Busy schedules, caregiving, or limited transportation
  • Clients outside easy reach of a Long Island office
  • People who feel safest doing this work from home
  • Those balancing in-person and remote sessions

What you’ll need

Online sessions are simple to join and designed to feel just as present as in person:

  • A private space where you won’t be overheard
  • A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera
  • A stable internet connection
  • A secure video link I’ll send before each session

Yes, even EMDR works online

Trauma reprocessing translates well to telehealth. For online EMDR, we use guided visual movement or self-administered tapping for bilateral stimulation, with the same careful pacing and preparation as in-person work.

Prefer to meet face to face? In-person sessions are available at the Amityville office. Many clients do a blend of both.

Common questions

Online Therapy in NY, answered.

Do I have to live in New York?+

You need to be physically located in New York State during our sessions, since that’s where I’m authorized to practice. You don’t have to be a permanent resident, what matters is where you are at the time of the session.

Is online therapy as effective as in person?+

Research consistently finds teletherapy comparably effective for most concerns, including trauma. What matters most is the relationship and the fit, both of which translate well to a secure video setting.

A gentle first step

Begin exactly where you are.

You don’t need to have the words figured out. A first conversation is simply a place to start, no pressure, no commitment.
